How long are Create and Connect workshops?
Most workshops run between 1 to 2 hours depending on the selection and detail of art.
Do you provide choices for painting ideas?
Instead of having generic art ideas to choose from, all workshops are designed to reflect the interest and purpose for those that will be participating. Suzanne typically talks with the host of the event to find out why the group is gathering and what might be of importance to them. She might suggest some ideas or sketch something out and then the host can choose what he or she would like best.
Do I need to bring anything to an art session or workshop?
All materials will be provided by Fly Jewel for the art project. If you wish to bring an apron to protect any clothing, you may do so.
How far in advance would I need to book an event or schedule a private session?
It is recommended to plan at least 3 weeks in advance. However, availability may be limited with a short notice request. Please call with as much advance notice as possible for planning purposes. This will allow time for custom design and ordering of all supplies needed.
Can snacks and beverages be brought to an event?
The host and guests are more than welcome to provide snacks and beverages. Art life doesn’t get much better than food, fun and fellowship. We only ask that you eat and drink responsibly.
What is your location service area?
Fly Jewel provides service in Warren, Butler and Northern Hamilton counties. A travel fee will apply to workshops or events beyond a 15-mile radius from point of origin.
How is payment handled?
Payment is required at the time of booking. If hosting a group, we ask that the host pay Fly Jewel in one payment, while making separate arrangements to collect from your guests. Other workshops or sessions will require the participant to pay at the time of service. Fly Jewel accepts venmo, cash or credit card. (If using credit card, there will be a 3% service charge.)
What is your cancellation policy?
A lot of planning and preparation goes into customized art to make it a successful experience for all participants. We understand that unforeseen circumstances happen that are out of our control. If you need to cancel, we require at least a 24-hour notice. You will be issued a credit so that you can reschedule your special event within 6 months of your original reservation. If you choose to not reschedule, you will be issued a refund minus the cost of supplies prepared for your event.
Can gift certificates be purchased?
Yes! These make awesome and unique gifts for friends or families. Gift certificates can be mailed or emailed upon purchase.
